Ferrell Blount, III is Chairman of the Board of M.O. Blount and Sons, Inc. (an agricultural holding company).
A Lenoir County North Carolina native, Blount has been actively involved in numerous civic and not-for-profit organizations, including serving as past president of the Bethel Rotary Club, past president of the Pitt County Hospital Foundation Board, past president of the Parrott Academy Trustees and past member of the Pitt County Board of Education.
Blount also is past chairman of the NC Republican Party, past committeeman/Republican National Committee and past member of the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission.
An Eagle Scout, Blount earned a bachelor’s degree from UNC Chapel Hill in Political Science. He and his wife Lynda have three grown children and five grandsons.
