Susan Pullium serves as director of customer service for the North Carolina Turnpike Authority, where she works to strengthen efforts to enhance customer service across all areas of the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Pullium previously served for two years as NCDOT's director of strategic planning, where she played a critical role in the development and launch of Governor Pat McCrory's 25-Year Vision, the implementation of the Strategic Transportation Investments law and the creation of NCDOT's strategic plan.
Before arriving at NCDOT, Pullium worked for the Wake County Public School System, where she was responsible for growth and planning. She was director for student assignment and served on the district's Student Assignment Task Force. She also is a former biology teacher and department chair in North Carolina and Arizona.
Pullium completed the executive education program "Driving Government Performance" at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Arizona State University.
