| Facilities Design provides architectural, engineering and consulting design services for more than 2,950 North Carolina Department of Transportation new and existing buildings. Building designs encompass new stand-alone buildings, building additions, renovations, repairs and maintenance of existing NCDOT facilities. |
| Most of Facilities Design's building designs are Capital Improvement projects funded by the NC General Assembly based on the NCDOT's improvement needs. These projects include offices (both DOT and DMV), maintenance and repair facilities and storage facilities. Additionally, Highway project designs through the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) includes Welcome/Visitor Centers and Rest Area facilities for the state's highway system. |
