Division Two Highway System
The Division Two office plans, designs, builds, and maintains the state highway system for Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Pamlico, and Pitt counties. Division Two performs many functions such as; roadside development, outdoor advertising along state roads, traffic regulation, highway research, and dispersal of highway information in order to be sure the more than 5000 lane miles of state roads in Division Two are safe and operate at peak efficiency.
