The Administrative Section is responsible for managing the overall activities of the Materials and Tests Unit including providing appropriate state and national materials specifications and standards, managing QC/QA programs, providing testing services to support preconstruction, construction and maintenance activities, providing training and certification services, evaluating new technologies and products, providing quality evaluations at production sites, providing material certification to FHWA for federally funded projects, certifying material and product quality for projects and the Independent Assurance system.
