Town of Mount Olive
Comprehensive Transportation Plan Study
This CTP study is a long range plan, which
identifies major transportation improvement needs
and develops long term solutions for the next 25 to
30 years. It is a joint effort among the Town of
Mount Olive, the North Carolina Department of
Transportation (NCDOT), and the Eastern Carolina
Rural Planning Organization (ECRPO). The CTP Study
is in the very early stages of initial data
collection.
The CTP study involves both government officials and
the public in an effort to determine the area’s
future transportation needs based on the best
information available including, but not limited to,
population, economic conditions, traffic trends and
patterns of land development in and around the
town. The study will also include alternative modes
of transportation. While addressing current and
future travel needs, a recommendation for a solution
that provides for the safe, efficient,
cost-effective and environmentally sensitive use of
the transportation system will be made.
Mount
Olive Transportation Survey
