City of Statesville Comprehensive Transportation Plan Study

The Transportation Planning Branch of the North Carolina Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the Lake Norman RPO, is working with the City of Statesville and Iredell County to develop a Comprehensive Transportation Plan. This plan will address the long-range transportation needs of the Statesville area.

The goal of the Comprehensive Transportation Plan is to help Statesville meet anticipated multi-modal transportation needs over the next (30) years. Planning now for future needs will minimize impacts to homes, businesses, and the environment in the future. The draft plan will be created by NCDOT with input from citizens, Statesville, Iredell County, and the RPO. The Comprehensive Transportation Plan will also be used by Lake Norman RPO, local jurisdictions, and NCDOT for the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) prioritization process.
