County
Comprehensive Transportation Plan Study
The Rockingham County Comprehensive
Transportation Plan (CTP) is a joint effort between
Rockingham County, the Piedmont Triad Rural Planning
Organization, and the NCDOT – Transportation
Planning Branch. Recommendations for the plan are
currently being developed.
The Draft Rockingham County CTP Maps and
Recommendations have been developed for all parts of
Rockingham County, including: Eden, Madison-Mayodan,
Reidsville, Stoneville, Wentworth, and all other
rural parts of the county. An initial public
workshop took place on March 23, 2009 at the
Wentworth Town Hall to solicit input from the
public. An additional public workshop took place on
June 30, 2009 to present these draft CTP maps and
recommendations and to solicit input from the
public.
The Draft Rockingham County CTP Maps and
Recommendations are available below. Later in the
year, the Rockingham County CTP will be up for
adoption by the county and all the municipalities.
The transportation survey is still available at the
Rockingham County Government Center, the Wentworth
Town Hall, as well as at the following website:
