Find Information, Region: Piedmont

Cheery day and lots of road. Explore our foothills and piedmont area. Here you will find the "Furniture Capital of the World" and the country's largest walk-through natural habitat zoo, along with vibrant cities rich in culture and welcoming small towns. We will take you to countless museums, planetariums and festivals. You will see where Revolutionary War and Civil War history was created, and we will transport you to an 18th-century Moravian village. You can also take in a race or visit one of the many NASCAR team garages and shops. In addition, you can camp, fish, swim, bike and hike in parks and forests, or enjoy a round of world-class golf in the sandhills that hosted the 2005 U.S. Open Championship and will welcome the U.S. Women's Open Championship for the third time in 2007.
