GHSP Point System

GHSP Points System Access Points System

The Governor's Highway Safety Program's point system encourages participation at GHSP sponsored events and highway safety initiatives.

First implemented an incentive-based points system in 2007, this program encourages participation at GHSP sponsored events and highway safety initiatives. Participation in such activities results in law enforcement agencies receiving points or credit for their activities, which can result in traffic equipment. In order to receive points for an activity, agencies must use the point submission system.

Immediate Action Needed: Changes to the GHSP’s Points System and Online Campaign Reporting Application

The GHSP Points System and Online Campaign Reporting application (GHSP applications) will be moving to a new secure web site in the coming weeks. This change will require all users who use and access the GHSP applications for campaign reporting and points submissions to have an NCID (North Carolina Identity Management Service) username and password. All agencies need to obtain their NCID user name and password as soon as possible.

Please click on the file named Change in Access on this page for details and to view instructions for obtaining your NCID user name and password. Please continue using your current GHSP-assigned usernames and passwords. The GHSP Administrator, Ms. Dean Toler, will notify all agencies of the date to begin using their NCID username and password.

Grant Information

For questions regarding the grant application process please call the GHSP office and ask to speak to a Grant Specialist at (919) 733-3083. Monthly enforcement reports are not in any way tied to the points system or online reporting.
