Our Mission

The mission of the Governor's Highway Safety Program is to promote highway safety awareness and reduce the number of traffic crashes and fatalities in the state of North Carolina through the planning and execution of safety programs.

New GHSP Online Grant System

The GHSP is launching a new web-based grant system this spring that will impact the 2012 grant application process. Grants through GHSP will only be available using this new online system. We anticipate launching the system April 1, 2011. More information will be posted as it becomes available. Please check back often as dates, reminders and helpful documents will be added in the future.
