US 15-501 Superstreet

This project is proposed to improve the operations of the intersection,
particularly for vehicles traveling off of US 15-501 and onto Erwin and
Europa Drives. This website explains the need for this project, the process
NCDOT is currently undergoing to study the project and a quick explanation
of the project alternatives being considered.

US 70 Clayton Bypass

The new highway will relieve congestion on existing U.S. 70 and provide motorists traveling to
Raleigh or to the coast an alternate route built to interstate standards. Motorists traveling to I-40
through Clayton will have a faster less congested route.

I-40 Rehabilitation

To improve the condition of I-40 by removing and replacing the aged and damaged concrete slabs.
