About Federal Aid Route Maps
The purpose of these maps is to identify routes that are eligible for release to local
governments participating the debris memorandum of agreement program. In the event of a Federal Disaster
Declaration, the routes that are highlighted in red receive federal reimbursements from the Federal Highway
Administration and are not eligible for release to local governments that have executed debris Memorandums
of Agreement (MOA) with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Routes not highlighted in red
receive federal reimbursements from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and are eligible for
release.
