The N.C. Turnpike Authority advertises all requests for private engineering or consulting services in the North Carolina Purchase Directory and posts the advertisements on the NCDOT/Highway Design website.
Firms responding to an NCTA request for qualifications (RFQ) must be pre-qualified to perform the work and listed on the:
NCDOT Register of Qualified Firms
The NCTA does not maintain an independent register of qualified private engineering or consulting firms, but relies on the register compiled and maintained by the NCDOT.
Request for Qualifications for Investment Banking Services
The N.C. Turnpike Authority desires to receive a Statement of Qualifications from investment banking firms to assist the Authority in completing the proposed issuance of its non-recourse Toll Revenue Bonds, Series 2016 (the "Monroe Expressway Bonds") and potentially future project bonds. The Statement of Qualifications will be used to select a senior-managing underwriter and co-managers.
Roadside Toll Collection System Request for Proposals
The N.C. Turnpike Authority is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for qualified proposers to provide a roadside toll collection system (RTCS) and associated operations and maintenance for the Monroe Expressway, which will include All-Electronic Tolling (AET), and for the U.S. 74 Express Lanes, which will include AET dynamic-pricing capabilities.
