Ferrell Blount III is Chairman of the Board of M.O. Blount and Sons, Inc., an agricultural holding company.
A Pitt County native, Blount has been actively involved in numerous civic and nonprofit organizations, having previously served as president of the Bethel Rotary Club, president of the Pitt County Hospital Foundation Board, president of the Parrott Academy Trustees and as a member of the Pitt County Board of Education.
Blount also is past chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, past committeeman of the Republican National Committee and past member of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.
An Eagle Scout, Blount earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He and his wife Lynda have three grown children and five grandsons.
