Windsock Requests

Windsocks are cloth tubes in the shape of cones that gauge wind direction and speed – factors that are very important for pilots when landing and taking off. To help reduce weather-related landing accidents, the Division of Aviation offers– either free or at cost – windsocks to airports in North Carolina.
