Safe Routes to School is a national and international movement aimed at enabling and encouraging all children to walk and bicycle to school.

Bicycle Helmet Initiative
The Bicycle Helmet Initiative is the Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation's effort to reduce bicyclist injuries and fatalities.
'Share the Road' License Plate
Proceeds from the sale of the specialized "Share the Road" North Carolina license plate go toward the Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation's Bicycle Helmet Initiative.
