The DOT Volunteers program pairs N.C. Department of Transportation staff with students of all levels and engages them in discussions about careers in the transportation field. Working with K-12 schools, universities and community colleges across the state, the program:
- Promotes the importance of women and minorities in engineering
- Engages students in conversations about the transportation industry
- Recruits talented individuals to work for NCDOT
