07/20/17, Ophir Rd A, Construction, Road Closed with Detour

Due to a bridge replacement project, Ophir Rd (SR 1303) will be closed to thru traffic between NC 109 and Tower Rd (SR 1134). The road is planned to be closed February 27, 2017, and is scheduled to  re-open July 11, 2017. ***03-21-17 - UPDATE:The Detour route will change. The new detour route will not be signed until the contractor has time to adjust the detour signing.

****07-11-2017 - UPDATE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ophir Rd will not re-open July 11, 2017, it is anticipated the road will re-open July 21, 2017. If this date changes, this notice will be updated.

****07-20-2017 - UPDATE: Due to a scheduling conflict, Ophir Rd will not re-open July 21, 2017. It is anticipated the road will re-open August 2, 2017. If this date changes, this notice will be updated.

07/20/17, Hydro Rd A, Construction, Road Closed with Detour

Due to a bridge replacement project Hydro Rd (SR 1188) between Lilly's Bridge Rd (SR 1110) and NC 731 will be closed to through traffic. The work is anticipated to begin July 31, 2017 and is expected to reopen November 27, 2017. There will be a signed detour.

06/26/17, Sandy Ridge Ch A, Construction, Road Closed with Detour

Due to a bridge replacement project Sandy Ridge Church Rd (SR 1305) between John Webb Rd (SR 1308) and Dockery Rd (SR 1306) will be closed to through traffic. The road is scheduled to be closed July 5, 2017 and is expected to reopen November 1, 2017 to accomplish the work. The planned detour route will utilize Dockery Rd (SR 1306) and Haywood Cemetery Rd (SR 1446). However, until the bridge over US 220 is contructed under the US 220 project, traffic will take temporary access roads accross US 220 back to Haywood Cemetery Rd (SR 1446).
