RALEIGH - One of two lanes on U.S. 1 North and South will be closed between N.C. 55 and New Hill Holleman Road in Wake County on Monday, Dec. 12 through Saturday, Dec. 17 as the contractor for the Western Wake Freeway installs temporary concrete barriers along the edge of the roadway. The closures will take place daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting.
One lane will remain open in each direction.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
