Roadwork is in conjunction with N.C. 73 widening project
CHARLOTTE -The N.C. Department of Transportation will be shifting traffic on U.S. 21 (Statesville Road) in Huntersville from 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, until 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, weather permitting.
Traffic will be moved to the outside lanes on U.S. 21 from south of Holly Point Drive to south of Northcross Center Drive to allow crews to pour concrete for median islands. The work is part of a $17 million project to widen 1.8 miles of N.C. 73 from west of U.S. 21 to east of N.C. 115. The project is scheduled to be completed in December.
