NCDOT TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE ROWLAND ROAD IN STANLY COUNTY FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

CHARLOTTE -- The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close Rowland Road over Running Creek west of Albemarle on Wednesday, Nov. 30, weather permitting.

The closure is necessary for the contractor, Dellinger Inc., to replace the existing bridge. The closure is scheduled to last through March 2012.

A detour will be posted via Rowland Road, Mission Church Road and Five Point Road.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
