RALEIGH - The N.C. Department of Transportation will begin replacing the bridge over Huddy's Gut on Hickory Point Road near the Aurora Ferry docks on Monday, Nov. 28, weather permitting. The bridge was damaged in August by Hurricane Irene and has been closed to traffic since that time.
