NCDOT to Temporarily Close Lanes in Guilford County for Pavement and Soil Testing

RALEIGH - Weather permitting, The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close lanes on three roadways in Guilford County between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, to perform pavement and soil tests related to a future road improvement project.  

One lane of the following roadways will be closed in each direction at various times during the day:

 U.S. 421 near Neelley Road;  Neelley Road between U.S. 421 and Talbot Street; and  Williams Dairy Road between Liberty Road and Valhalla Circle.Flaggers will direct motorists through each of the lane closures, which should last for approximately 45 minutes in each direction.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.  Motorists may experience congestion while traveling through the work zone and are encouraged to plan their commute accordingly.
