RALEIGH - The N.C. Department of Transportation has awarded its 2011 Diamond Awards, which recognize contributions to developing small, minority and women-owned businesses. The awards were presented at the department's Business Opportunity and Workforce Development 2012 Transportation Conference on Feb. 9, centered on the theme of Building Momentum: Creating Jobs and Opportunity through Infrastructure Development.The 2012 Diamond Awards were awarded in the following categories:Prime Contractor of the Year: S.T.
