CHARLOTTE -The N.C. Department of Transportation will continue lighting improvements on I-77 North near downtown Charlotte beginning at 9 p.m. Monday, June 18, weather permitting. The work is part of a $473,000 contract awarded to Brooks, Berry and Haynie of Mableton, Ga. to improve lighting on I-77, I-277, and a section of I-85 in Cabarrus County.
The contractor will close the right lane on I-77 North between Morehead Street and Trade Street, and will also close the ramp from the John Belk Freeway to I-77 North. Lane closures are scheduled to end by 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 19.
