CHARLOTTE -The N.C. Department of Transportation will continue lighting improvements on I-77 near downtown Charlotte beginning at 10 p.m. tonight, weather permitting. The work is part of a $473,000 contract awarded to Brooks, Berry and Haynie of Mableton, Ga. to improve lighting on I-77, I-277, and a section of I-85 in Cabarrus County.
At 10 p.m., the contractor will close the following ramps:
- The entrance ramp from East Trade Street to I-77 South; and
- The exit ramp from I-77 North to Brookshire Freeway West (Exit 11B).
Ramp closures are scheduled to end by 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 26.
