Motorists may encounter traffic congestion near the work zone
RALEIGH - The N.C. Department of Transportation will begin paving work on Robinhood Road in Winston-Salem on Monday, June 25. Crews will pave two separate sections of the road over the next six weeks. The improvements will enhance safety, help the road last longer and provide a more comfortable ride for motorists.
Crews will start paving the first section of Robinhood Road between Peaceheaven Road and Norman Road Monday night. They will work from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. Paving work in this area is scheduled to be complete by Wednesday, June 27, weather permitting.
On Wednesday at 6 a.m., crews will begin paving the second section of Robinhood Road from Norman Road to Old Yadkinville Road. Work in this area is currently scheduled to take place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. each weekday. No paving will take place on July 3-4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. This work is set to conclude on Saturday, Aug. 4.
This work will require lane closures, which may cause traffic congestion. NCDOT encourages motorists traveling through the work zone to go slow, pay close attention to flagging operations and allow plenty of time to reach their destinations safely.
