CHARLOTTE -The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the left lane on I-85 South near Sugar Creek Road (Exit 41) in Charlotte beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, June 8, weather permitting.
Crews will be working on roadway lighting within 800 feet of both sides of the Sugar Creek Road bridge as part of a $473,000 contract to improve lighting on sections of I-85, I-77, I-277, and a section of I-85 in Cabarrus County. The lane closure will be removed by 5 a.m. Monday, June 11.
