RALEIGH -The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting on Monday, May 6, on the proposed safety improvements on N.C. 59 (Main Street) in Hope Mills.
The department is proposing to build a median along N.C. 59 from Camden Road to south of Golf View Drive and re-stripe N.C. 59 from south of Golf View Drive to Rockfish Road in an effort to improve safety and traffic flow.
The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the activity room of the Hope Mills Parks and Recreation Center, located at 5776 Rockfish Road. There will not be a formal presentation.
NCDOT representatives will display maps and be available to answer questions and receive comments, which will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
