NCDOT to Install New Traffic Signals Tonight at Intersection of Webb Avenue and Elmira Street in Burlington

RALEIGH - Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close the intersection of Webb Avenue and Elmira Street in Burlington tonight from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. to install new traffic signals. The Alamance County Sheriff's Department will direct traffic in the area. Motorists should use the following signed detour routes:
  • Webb Avenue to Plaid Street to Trollinger Street back to Webb Avenue.
  • Elmira Street to Durham Street to Logan Street to North Park Avenue to Union Avenue to Fisher Street to Webb Ave.
Motorists are encouraged to allow additional travel time to reach their destination.
