NCDOT to Repair Pavement on U.S. 220 in Rockingham County

RALEIGH - Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will make pavement repairs next week on U.S. 220 north of Stoneville in Rockingham County. From 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 and Wednesday, June 5, crews will close a lane of U.S. 220 South between Martinsville Loop and Smith Road. One travel lane will remain open at all times.NCDOT reminds motorists to stay alert and watch signs for construction information. Motorists may encounter congestion and delays in the work zone during peak travel times and are encouraged to allow additional travel time or use an alternate route.For real-time travel information at any time, call 511, visit or follow NCDOT on Twitter.
