NCDOT to Resurface Rock Creek Dairy Road in Guilford County This Weekend

RALEIGH - As part of the N.C. Department of Transportation's ongoing efforts to maintain and strengthen the state's transportation infrastructure, crews will mill and resurface a section of Rock Creek Dairy Road in Guilford County this weekend. Weather permitting, one lane of Rock Creek Dairy Road will be closed at the I-40/I-85 interchange, beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone, and the work will be completed by 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. The resurfacing project is part of a $1.4 million contract awarded in June to Blythe Construction Inc. of Charlotte. The contract includes the resurfacing of a 0.4-mile section of Rock Creek Dairy Road from just south of Millstream Road to U.S. 70/Burlington Road, which will help the road last longer and improve the overall health of the region's transportation network. NCDOT reminds motorists to stay alert, expect delays and obey the posted speed limit.
