RALEIGH - As part of the N.C. Department of Transportation's ongoing efforts to maintain and strengthen the state's transportation infrastructure, crews will mill and resurface a section of Rock Creek Dairy Road in Guilford County this weekend.
Weather permitting, one lane of Rock Creek Dairy Road will be closed at the I-40/I-85 interchange, beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone, and the work will be completed by 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The resurfacing project is part of a $1.4 million contract awarded in June to Blythe Construction Inc. of Charlotte. The contract includes the resurfacing of a 0.4-mile section of Rock Creek Dairy Road from just south of Millstream Road to U.S. 70/Burlington Road, which will help the road last longer and improve the overall health of the region's transportation network.
