NCDOT to Temporarily Close I-40 East in Greensboro for Overhead Sign Repairs

RALEIGH - Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close I-40 East at Exit 212A near I-73 in Guilford County from 6 a.m. until noon on Sunday, Feb. 17 to repair an overhead sign. Motorists should use the following signed detour route and are encouraged to allow additional time to reach their destination:
  • From I-40 East, take I-73 South to I-85 North back to I-40 East.
Message boards in the area will provide motorists traveling to Piedmont Triad International Airport with information regarding alternate routes.NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.For real-time travel information at any time, call 511, visit www.ncdot.gov/travel or follow NCDOT on Twitter.
