CHARLOTTE -The N.C. Department of Transportation is continuing its project to improve mobility and safety on I-85 in Concord with ramp closures beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, and Wednesday, Sept. 25, weather permitting. Each closure will allow crews to safely install drainage systems associated with the I-85 widening project from south of Bruton Smith Boulevard (Exit 49) to north of N.C. 73 (Exit 55).
Tuesday, Sept. 24:
Crews will temporarily close the entrance ramp from N.C. 73 to I-85 South and the right lane on I-85 South at N.C. 73 (Exit 55) until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Wednesday, Sept. 25:
Crews will temporarily close the exit ramp from I-85 South to George Liles Parkway (Exit 54) and the right lane on I-85 South until 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.
