CHARLOTTE -The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Dutch Road in Mount Pleasant at 9 a.m. Monday, March 11, weather permitting. Contractor J.T. Russell and Sons will start a $488,000 project to replace the bridge over Little Bear Creek.
Traffic will be detoured around the project from Dutch Road to Lentz Harness Shop Road to Bear Creek Church Road to Finger Road to Gold Hill Road back to Dutch Road.
The contractor should have the bridge open to traffic June 1, and can continue vegetation and reforestation work through Nov. 28.
