CHARLOTTE -The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Running Creek Road in Red Cross at 9 a.m. Monday, March 11, weather permitting. Maintenance crews will be replacing a crossline pipe culvert, which should take two weeks to complete.
During the closure, motorists can follow a signed detour from Running Creek Road to Bethel Church Road to Austin Road back to Running Creek Road. The road closure should be removed by Monday, March 25.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
