NCDOT will close sections of Ramah Church Road and McCord Road in Mecklenburg County this week

CHARLOTTE -The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close sections of Ramah Church Road and McCord Road in Huntersville beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 4, weather permitting. The closures are necessary for crews to safely work at two Norfolk Southern Railroad crossings.

Crews will close the crossing at Ramah Church Road first, and will move on to the crossing at McCord Road Thursday afternoon. Repairs at each location should take three to four hours.

During the closures, motorists should follow these signed detours:

  • Ramah Church Road -McCord Road to Old Statesville Road (N.C. 115) back to Ramah Church Road.
  • McCord Road Ramah Church Road to Old Statesville Road back to McCord Road.
