NCDOT will start pipe replacement project on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road in Charlotte next week

Signed detour will be posted for motorists

CHARLOTTE -Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will perform maintenance work on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road south of Center Lane in Charlotte from 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, through Friday, Oct. 11.

Maintenance crews will be installing pipe under the roadway, requiring a detour for motorists along Hambright Road and N.C. 115 (Old Statesville Road) back to Mount Holly-Huntersville Road. Access to U.S. 21 (Statesville Road) will be permitted near the closure.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
