RALEIGH -Crews continue to make progress on a project to preserve the bridge deck and extend the lifespan of the Heide Trask Drawbridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Wrightsville Beach.
On Monday, Sept. 30 at 11:30 p.m., the bridge will be closed to all traffic until 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, weather permitting. Police officers with blue lights will be stationed on each side of the bridge to allow emergency vehicles to cross.
When the bridge reopens, traffic will be in a two-lane, one-way pattern on the south side of the bridge.NCDOT urges motorists to use caution when traveling in the work zone.For real-time travel information at any time, call 511, visit www.ncdot.gov/travel or follow NCDOT on Twitter.
