Federal Highway Administrator will be in Charlotte this morning
WHAT: Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez will be in Charlotte today to discuss the turbine interchange project connecting I-85 with the final 5.7-mile segment of I-485 in Charlotte.
WHEN: 10:30 -11 a.m.
WHERE: NCDOT field offices, 13012 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte
From I-85 North: Take Exit 46B (Mallard Creek Church Road). Merge right on Mallard Creek Church Road and follow 1.6 miles to Mallard Creek Road/Prosperity Church Road. Turn right to Mallard Creek Road and follow 2.3 miles. The NCDOT field offices are located past the intersection with Odell School Road on the right.
COMMENTS: Completion of I-485, widening of I-85 and completing the turbine interchange of the two interstates will be recognized by the Federal Highway Administration. Guests and media must arrive at the NCDOT parking lot no later than 10 a.m. to be shuttled to the event location. NCDOT staff will be available to assist with parking and transportation.
