Resurfacing of U.S. 220 in Greensboro to Begin Monday Night

RALEIGH - Work will begin Monday on a N.C. Department of Transportation project to resurface 9 miles of U.S. 220 in Greensboro, from just north of the bridge over I-85 Business in Guilford County to the Randolph County line. Lane closures will occur each night from 7 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. One lane will remain open at all times. The work is expected to be complete by Tuesday, Oct. 1.The $1.8 million contract was awarded to APACThompson Arthur Division of Greensboro in December.NCDOT reminds motorists to stay alert, expect delays and obey the posted speed limit.For real-time travel information at any time, call 511, visit or follow NCDOT on Twitter.
