Part of I-40/77 interchange improvement project
RALEIGH -The
N.C. Department of Transportation will conduct a rolling roadblock on Interstate
40 and I-77 in Statesville in both directions for one hour early Tuesday, March
26, weather permitting.
A
rolling roadblock will take place on I-40 between mile markers 150 and 153 from
4 a.m. to 5 a.m.. The other rolling roadblock will take place from 5 a.m. to 6
a.m. on I-77 between mile markers 50 and 53.
The
rolling roadblocks are necessary for crews with Zachry Construction to remove
power lines across both sides of the interstate, as part of the Interstate 40/77
interchange improvement project.
