Routine Maintenance to Close Business 40 West Off-Ramp to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Winston-Salem

RALEIGH - Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close the U.S 421 North/Business 40 West off-ramp to U.S. 311/Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Winston-Salem on Wednesday, Dec. 4 to allow crews to trim trees in the area. The ramp will be closed from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. During this time, motorists should use the following signed detour route to access Martin Luther King Jr. Drive:

  • Continue on U.S. 421 North/Business 40 West to U.S. 52 North (Exit 6B) to U.S. 311/Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (Exit 110B). Make a right on southbound U.S. 311 to access Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
