RALEIGH - Work on the N.C.
211 widening project in Moore County will require the temporary closure next
week of about 200 feet of Juniper Lake Road at its intersection with the
highway near Pinehurst. The closure is needed because the intersection will be
realigned to accommodate the highway widening.
Weather permitting, the closure will be in effect between 9 a.m. on
Wednesday, Oct. 30 and 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2.
Motorists will be detoured onto Beulah Hill Church Road and Main Street
to get back to Juniper Lake Road.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch for signs with construction information,
stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
The project is converting 7.6 miles of N.C. 211 to four lanes divided by
a grass median from N.C. 73 in West End to the traffic circle in Pinehurst. Motorists
can expect intermittent lane shifts and closures for the duration of the
project, which is expected to wrap up in May 2014.
