RALEIGH - Beginning Monday, Feb. 4, N.C. Department of Transportation crews will shift traffic on U.S. 158 from five lanes down to two lanes between North Road Street and Water Street.
Once traffic is shifted, motorists will not be able to turn north on Martin Luther King and Poindexter streets from U.S. 158.
This work is part of a $57.1 million contract, awarded to Archer Western Contractors, Ltd. of Atlanta, and calls for paving and new signals in addition to replacing the drawbridge.
