Turner Smith Road in Guilford County to Close for Pipe Replacement

RALEIGH - Beginning next week, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close Turner Smith Road near Swaney Road in Guilford County to replace two pipes under the road. Weather permitting, work will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26. Turner Smith Road will remain closed for the duration of the work and is expected to reopen by 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27. To detour around the work zone, motorists may take N.C. 61 to N.C. 150 to Middlestream Road back to Turner Smith Road.
