U.S. 158 to Close Sept. 7 in Camden County for Railroad Crossing Replacement

RALEIGH - The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of U.S. 158 south of Camden in the Belcross community of Camden County on Saturday, Sept. 7, for approximately five days, weather permitting.The closure is necessary for the replacement of the railroad crossing on U.S. 158 between Morrisette Road and the Camden County Health Department. Through traffic on U.S. 158 will follow a signed detour on Upton Road, Seymour Drive and N.C. 343. A map of the crossing location and detour can be found here.Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling in the area and to expect delays. NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
