Additional I-77 Meetings Scheduled for This Week

RALEIGH - As part of the continued collaborative and transparent process for the I-77 Managed lanes project, NCDOT and Cintra staff will meet with representatives from Huntersville, Davidson and Mooresville Thursday at the request of town leadership.NCDOT will review a fact sheet, animations and other general project information - all of which is currently posted on the I-77 project webpage.The purpose of the meetings is to help dispel repeated misinformation about the project and to get feedback for an upcoming public meeting. NCDOT is currently planning a community information meeting on the I-77 project in September.NCDOT is moving forward to expand 26 miles of I-77 in Mecklenburg and Iredell counties through the state's first public-private partnership with Cintra. A comprehensive agreement was signed June 26, 2014 to continue this critical project's development.For the past two years, NCDOT has consistently and purposefully engaged state and local stakeholders to ensure the I-77 managed lanes project is the most effective long-term solution for this corridor.
