RALEIGH - The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles has named Marchant Harman as the contractor for a new Asheville license plate agency, which is scheduled to open this fall.
Harman spent 20 years as a finance manager / title administrator for Deal Motorcars / Harmony Motors in Asheville. A 1993 graduate of UNC-Asheville, Harman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science.

LPAs offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags and duplicate registrations. Currently, about 120 license plate agencies operate across North Carolina.
